How to Protect Yourself & Others
Important Strategies for Containing the Spread
Shield yourself and others by wearing a mask that protects your nose and mouth.
Keep a distance of 6 feet for you and people that don’t live with you.
When the COVID-19 vaccine becomes available, get it.
Avoid crowds and indoor environments that aren’t well ventilated.
Hands should be washed often with soap and water. If soap and water aren’t available, use hand sanitizer.
Put on a mask.
All above the age of two should wear a mask in public.
Masks should be worn in addition to keeping a distance of at least 6 feet between you and others, particularly those who do not live with you.
If anyone in your home is contagious, everyone in the house can take care, such as using masks to prevent the infection from spreading to others.
Before slipping on your mask, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
Put your mask over your nose and mouth and under your chin to keep it in place.
Slip the loops over your ears or tie the cords behind your head to protect the mask against the sides of your face.
